Golf can also be played at other local courses such as the Lake Tahoe Country Club, Bijou or Tahoe Paradise golf course.

The winter months offer visitors and residents the chance to downhill ski, snowboard, snowshoe, cross country ski, and snowmobile. Skiers and snowboarders can test their skill at the world famous Heavenly Ski Resort. With runs rising 3000 vertical feet above the base lodge, you are sure to find a run that suits your style. Sierra-at-Tahoe ski area is 12 miles from the South Shore and Kirkwood Ski Area is just 30 minutes away.
